There's something very charming hearing the tune of the violin with the crackles expected from record such old audio. The fact that we are even able to play both video and audio together shows this is definitely a film for the history books. Even though it isn't even the focus of the film, being abl ... e to subtly hear the director's voice caught on the recording gives this a more home movie film vibe.
