Trending Position
Yikes, but this is far more terrible than the zombies could ever hope to be. An expedition is despatched to Cambodia to discover and destroy forever the secret enchantment that creates zombies. Dean Jagger ("Armand") alone, discovers the idol bearing the secret script and once he's deciphered it rea ... lises that he can now create an army of these unstoppable corpses. To be fair, it actually looks OK - the lighting and photography do create a certain degree of suspense, but the writing and acting - especially a super-hammy Dorothy Stone "Claire Duval" (who went on to star with Bob Hope, but not in this!) is dreadfully lame. It needed a star to give it some sort of anchor, it hasn't got one and so seemed to me like quite a long, procedural 65 minutes.
