I watched this older movie because Brenda Blethyn and, to a lesser extent, John Hurt were in it. Neither of them disappointed and surprisingly, I thought, there was some chemistry between their characters. It is a short movie, and despite the subject matter of a mobster seeking revenge, not an ex ... ceeding amount of violence. It is not a gentle film, but enough quiet and tender moments were built into it to keep me engaged in the story.
