Biography

Franco De Gemini (Ferrara, September 10, 1928 - Rome, July 20, 2013) was an Italian musician, record producer and composer. He was nicknamed “Harmonica Man”: although he was one of Italy's greatest harmonica players, he went down in history for only four notes, those written by Ennio Morricone for ... the soundtrack of Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West and which recur in many scenes, including the final one, in which the harmonica is in the mouth of Charles Bronson, who is forced to stand so that his brother, who is leaning on his shoulders with a noose around his neck, does not die.
