Cati Gonzalez

Cati Gonzalez was born in Cordoba, and raised in Barcelona, Spain. She moved to NYC in 1990 where she became a Photographer working in Fashion. Her work has been seen in French Photo,I.D, Spin, Vogue, Colors, Vibe, Interview, Paper, Big, Blaze, Trace, Surface, Liberatiòn, El Pais, Mademoiselle, Ne ... w York magazines and other publications doing celebrity portraits such as Director David Cronenberg, Russell Simmons, Notorious B.I.G., Pharrell Williams, The Ramones, David Byrne, Thurston Moore, Chloe Sevigny, Jaime King, Common, Beenie Man among others. She has also worked on various music artists’s album covers for Sony, Warner Bros., and Atlantic Records. She has received many awards for her photography such as “Festival De Le Mode Exhibition,” Nice, France, “The American Photography Magazine Awards”, French Photo listed as “Photographers of the Future” and was part of the Macy’s Windows Art Photographers Exhibition in New York City in 2007. She transitioned into moving images in 2012 working on small video projects. In the same year she wrote the script to her first Feature Film titled: 'Ekaj', which she also produced, directed and filmed alongside her partner Mike Gonzalez. Her Film screened at 63 Festivals worldwide and has won a total of 29 awards between 2016-2018. Cati has recently completed her feature screenplay ('Sarai') and a short script ('I'm Not Going to Hurt You'), and is currently writing another Feature ('Immanuel' "King of Heaven and Earth"). Her works have already been selected to several screenplay competitions and have also won awards. She plans to start the production of her Short Film in Late 2019-Early 2020. read more
