Biography

Camillo Bazzoni was an Italian cinematographer and film director known for his contributions to Italian cinema from the 1960s through the 1980s. He began his career as a camera operator in 1960, working on various Italian films. By 1967, Bazzoni had established himself as a cinematographer, collabor ... ating with directors such as Lina Wertmüller, Mario Monicelli, Salvatore Samperi, Massimo Troisi, and Franco Rossi. Notably, he served as a second unit camera operator on Warren Beatty's Reds (1981). In 1968, Bazzoni made his directorial debut with Suicide Commando and the Spaghetti Western A Long Ride from Hell. He was the younger brother of director Luigi Bazzoni and the brother-in-law of Academy Award-winning cinematographer Vittorio Storaro.
