Emilio Miguel Torres

Emilio Miguel Torres is a Latino-American filmmaker. He received a BFA in Film & Television Production from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and has written, directed, and produced short films and large scale media productions both as a student and independently. His films Valor & Sacr ... ifice (2021) and The Ladder (2022) have screened at international film festivals and won awards such as the First Prize Kalborg Award from NYU's New Visions and Voices Film Festival as well as the Critics' Choice Award at the Sci-On Film Festival in Reno, Nevada, among other honors. His short film, the fix (2022), is touring at several film festivals across the nation. He grew up in Ketchikan, Alaska and attended high school in the Seattle-Tacoma, Washington area.
