Aditya Vempaty

Aditya Vempaty is a Los Angeles and San Francisco based Indian-American writer, director, and entrepreneur. Born and raised in the Silicon Valley of Northern California, Aditya's films are reflective of his identity and upbringing; persistent health problems led to great estrangement and an inabilit ... y to live to his immigrant family's expectations. Being an artist amongst the children of the great Indian diaspora, Aditya first found film as a sensitive form of expression and reconciliation within his strict and unforgiving community. Finding his voice while attending the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Aditya now hopes to contribute to film as a medium for understanding and healing between generations and sects. With his voice, Aditya aims to reflect on the lasting implications of the clash between East and West through his Indian-American perspective and visual language. read more
