DeShawn Bowman

DeShawn is a Chicago-based, celebrity makeup artist. For over twenty years her work has graced the stages of theater, commercials, film, and television. Some of her clients and projects include: New York Fashion Week, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Goodman Theatre, Jordan Peele’s Candyman, Fargo – Season 4 ... , The Chi, Genius Aretha, Academy Award nominee, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Jordan Peele’s Lovecraft Country, Chicago PD, Leonardo DiCaprio’s The Shining Girls, Justified: City Primeval, The Watchful Eye, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Attorney General of Chicago, Kwame Raoul, Sean Hayes, Keith David, and most recently, Emmy Award Winner, Courtney B. Vance. Deshawn is also a recent graduate of the cosmetology school. She is a licensed esthetician with a high focus on skin care which allows for optimal results of any makeup application. She has a B.A. in Communications from the University of Detroit-Mercy and is currently in the MFA program at Johns Hopkins University. read more
