Christopher Newhook

Christopher Newhook is a self-taught artist who freelances from his studio in Placentia, Newfoundland, Canada. He has been working in a variety of art media for over thirty years and has shown his artwork in solo and group exhibitions while also selling his work around the world. He has contributed ... artwork to books, magazines and websites as well as designed cards, murals, logos and interior-exterior static displays. He is a graphic artist and photographer who also works in the field of publishing, fine art consulting, art education and set design. These multiple talents allow him to move fluidly from easel to camera to computer, blending the qualities of each medium to create a rich variety of artwork in varying styles and dimensions. Christopher has an affection for history, culture and nature. When not in the studio, he can be found wandering the coastlines, barrens and the countless remarkable places this province offers, trying to capture the essence of Newfoundland and Labrador.
