His published works ... include the best-selling prayer book Every Moment Holy: New Liturgies for Daily Life, a critically-acclaimed middle-grade chapter book titled The Angel Knew Papa and the Dog, a novel-length story in Andrew Peterson’s Wingfeather Tales collection (The Places Beyond the Maps), a family book journal (Stories We Shared) and picture books illustrated by Caldecott-Winner Richard Egielski, Thomas Kinkade, and Jamin Still, as well as a new novel currently awaiting publication. McKelvey has also penned more than 300 lyrics recorded by a variety of artists including Switchfoot, Kenny Rogers and Jason Gray.
