Island Styles is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, and sound designer. Recent film work includes “I Need You: 53 Years of the Band America” and the documentary “Far Behind,” as well as his interactive scores for “Evolution” and “Oceans,” among others. His deep understanding of sonic narrative comes from a prolific career in rock music. As a longtime guitarist for the multi-platinum band Candlebox and Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, he has toured and recorded alongside acts like Bush, Alice in Chains, and Katy Perry. This extensive history on the world stage gives him a unique ability to translate raw energy into nuanced cinematic scores, bringing a performer's intuition to every project he scores and designs.
