Claude Boissol was a French film and television director and screenwriter, recognized for his contributions to mid-20th-century French cinema and television. Born in Paris, he began his career as an assistant director, collaborating with filmmakers such as Jacques Becker and Yves Allégret. Boissol ... made his directorial debut with Three Boys, One Girl (1948). His notable works include The Whole Town Accuses (1956) and Julie the Redhead (1959). In television, he co-created the long-running crime series Commissaire Moulin, which aired from 1976 to 2008. Boissol's work is characterized by its narrative depth and exploration of human relationships.
