Fernando Gabeira

Fernando Paulo Nagle Gabeira (January 17, 1941) is a Brazilian journalist, writer and politician. He began his journalistic career as a reporter at Jornal do Brasil. In 1970, was arrested in São Paulo by the military dictatorship, went into exile and passed through several countries, including Chile ... , Sweden and Italy. In 1979, returned to Brazil and worked as a journalist and writer. He was a candidate for the government of Rio de Janeiro in 1986; elected federal deputy in 1994 and re-elected in 1998 and 2002.
