George Carney ("Joe") and his wife Vivienne Chatteron are a well-off, hard working, couple who made their fortune making cheese and who have aspirations for their daughter "Helen" (Dinah Sheridan). To that end, they send her to a good school but they don't love the outcome - she turns out to be a bi ... t of a snob and the rest of this hour long comedy sees a battle of wills between parents and their daughter. To further complicate matters, she inadvertently manages to get everyone embroiled in a share swindle that requires a bit of deft manoeuvring from the astute and well meaning "Miller" (Bruce Seton) to try to save the day. It's clearly been made on a very small budget, and the story takes far too long to pick up any pace before an ending that is hurried and disappointing. It's harmless entertainment, though, and we do see why the camera-friendly Sheridan was destined for bigger and better things.
