Didn't commit to making the hate-able characters deaths feel well-deserved or cathartic, yet simultaneously didn't make any of the other characters actually likeable. Still, _The Ranger_ is at least not one of those "dime-a-dozen" sort of movies, there's enough different here to keep me invested for ... the length of the movie. _Final rating:★★½ - Had a lot that appealed to me, didn’t quite work as a whole._
